It’s aptly called as the heart of a home. This is where it all begins, from early morning tea and ends with a late night cuppa. As they say, we are what we eat. Hence our kitchens carry a huge responsibility for the same. Needless to say, the safety parameters are paramount.
They need to be customised ergonomically, within our maximum and minimum arms range zone. It’s high time we consider and design Kitchens to be like a primary family room of the house. With the changes in our lifestyle, the gender roles being redefined and the little time to bond with each other, our Kitchens must be a charming place that is inviting, easy to use and which facilitates family time, cooking and eating together.
Some kitchens may even need to double up as working spaces especially for the young mothers working from home. Hence, this is one area in which the space being at premium needs to be utilised inch-wise.
